Welcome to the TidalHealth Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism Fellowship!
As the program director, I am excited to introduce you to our new fellowship, nestled in the heart of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive training in endocrinology within a health system that has been a trusted provider of care for our community since 1897. We pride ourselves on being a place where "Better Together" isn’t just a motto, but a way of life — collaborating closely to deliver exceptional care for our patients while advancing your medical knowledge and expertise.
Our fellowship provides a comprehensive curriculum and immersive clinical training designed to prepare you for a successful career in endocrinology. With two positions available each year, we are dedicated to offering fellows personalized, high-quality training across a wide spectrum of endocrine conditions, from common pathologies to complex and rare cases. You will gain hands-on experience within a respected health system that serves the diverse population of the Delmarva Peninsula. Beyond medical expertise, we emphasize the development of strong professional relationships that foster growth, mentorship, and camaraderie, ensuring you are fully supported as you advance in your career.
The fellowship’s objectives include:
- Comprehensive clinical training: Fellows will gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and managing endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal dysfunction, pituitary disorders, and metabolic conditions.
- Patient-centered care: Fellows will develop skills in delivering compassionate care with a focus on shared decision-making, communication, and patient education, tailored to the needs of our population.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration: Our program emphasizes teamwork, encouraging fellows to work alongside internal medicine residents, primary care providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Professional development and leadership: Fellows will receive mentorship from experienced faculty, helping you grow as a well-rounded endocrinologist and a leader in your field. The program also encourages leadership skills and advocacy for healthcare improvements in our communities.
- Research opportunities: Fellows will have opportunities to engage in quality improvement projects and clinical case studies to enhance evidence-based practices and contribute to care delivery improvements.
