A “bird of a different feather” landed on the TidalHealth Peninsula Regional helipad on Thursday. Our friends from ChristianaCare in Wilmington stopped by with Santa to deliver some pizzas to our clinical teams.
On top of spreading holiday cheer, they were also showing off their new helicopter. It's an H145 Airbus and it's the top of the line, still has that “new helicopter smell” bird. It's faster than the previous version, safer to fly, has more interior cabin space for the patient and their caregivers, and has a range of about 350 miles.
After Salisbury, they also swung by the TidalHealth Nanticoke campus as part of their tour of eight hospitals on Thursday.
