Across Delmarva, a new era of healthcare is taking shape — one defined by partnership, innovation and a shared commitment to excellence. With Atlantic General Hospital now part of TidalHealth, we are united as one health system with three hospitals: TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, TidalHealth Nanticoke and Atlantic General Hospital. This alignment is more than a milestone; it represents a promise to deliver exceptional care by bringing together the strengths of our people, our programs and our purpose. We are truly better together.

This year is already shaping up to be one of meaningful milestones. In July, we will proudly celebrate the graduation of the first class of residents from the TidalHealth Graduate Medical Education program — a significant step forward in strengthening the future of medicine on Delmarva. These talented physicians represent our commitment to growing and retaining the next generation of healthcare leaders. Alongside this achievement, we continue to expand services, welcome new providers, and introduce advanced technology that enhances the way we deliver care across the region.

We’re also celebrating a historic achievement: For the first time, all three of our hospitals have received an “A” rating from The Leapfrog Group. Leapfrog is a national, third-party organization that evaluates hospitals on how well they prevent errors, injuries and infections. Earning an “A” means we are meeting the highest standards for patient safety — something that matters deeply to every patient and every family who walks through our doors. It’s a powerful reflection of our team’s dedication, focus and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Innovation is part of our DNA. In the 1970s, we launched the first heart program in the region. Since then, we’ve led in cardiac, cancer, orthopedics and robotic surgery. We continue to push boundaries and expand access — whether it’s through mobile wellness programs, new diagnostic tools, or virtual visits that bring care to where people need it most.

Our partnership with Atlantic General Hospital reinforces our shared values — quality, service and community. Together, we are building something stronger. And together, we will lead the future of healthcare for Delmarva.
