Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery

Our caring team at TidalHealth provides a range of ear, nose and throat surgical services, using advanced and minimally invasive techniques to help you recover comfortably and safely.

At TidalHealth, our ear, nose and throat surgery team works together with your physician to provide surgical care when you need it most. We are committed to making your experience as comfortable and personal as possible. Our staff is known for creating a warm, caring, and safe environment, where kindness and a positive attitude are at the center of everything we do.

We offer a variety of ear, nose, and throat surgeries that use the latest technology and minimally invasive techniques whenever possible. With these approaches, recovery time is often quicker, and you can get back to your everyday life sooner. Our team also performs surgeries using advanced robotic systems and laparoscopy, which means smaller incisions, less pain, and a smoother recovery for most patients.

Minimally invasive procedures often involve small incisions and the use of a high-definition camera to help your surgeon perform the surgery with great care. Our specialists use leading technology, including the daVinci Surgical Robot, to help deliver precise care and the best possible results for you.

Throughout your time with us, you can expect clear communication, a focus on your comfort, and support for both you and your loved ones. We are proud to provide the community with trusted surgical care that puts your needs first.

How do I prepare for surgery?
Your physician will talk with you about your treatment, including the risks, benefits, and alternatives. You will also fill out a pre-anesthesia questionnaire, and our team will review it with you a few days before your scheduled surgery. Remember to inform us about any medications you are taking and bring up any questions you have during your pre-admission conversation.

What can I expect on the day of surgery?
When you arrive, you will be escorted to a room and change into a hospital gown. A nurse will record your health history and start an IV. Your family can stay with you in the Day Surgery Unit, though we ask you bring no more than two visitors. You will meet your surgical team before your treatment, and they will answer any last-minute questions you may have.

What should I bring on the day of surgery?

  • Two forms of identification, including at least one photo ID
  • Your health insurance cards
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes for after your surgery
  • Leave jewelry, money, and other valuables at home

What happens after surgery?
After your treatment, you will be taken to a recovery area where we monitor your pain, blood pressure, and overall comfort. Our nurses will provide home care instructions before you leave. It is important not to drive, operate machinery, or make big decisions for 24 hours after surgery. Avoid drinking alcohol during this period.
