February is American Heart Month, and TidalHealth, along with regional health and community partners, is offering a wide range of activities, events and educational opportunities across Delmarva to raise awareness about heart disease, promote prevention, and support heart-healthy lifestyles.
From community walks and health fairs to free screenings and media outreach, Heart Month 2026 reflects a shared commitment to improving cardiovascular health throughout the region.

National Wear Red Day - Friday, Feb. 6
National Wear Red Day is observed on the first Friday each year. Join TidalHealth and wear red, raising awareness about heart disease. Share photos on social media and tag us!
Go Red Event - Friday, Feb. 6, 5 to 9 pm
The Wicomico and Somerset County Health Departments will be hosting their annual Go Red event at the Wicomico County Civic Center.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Week - Feb. 9 – 15
TidalHealth Peninsula Regional and TidalHealth Nanticoke will host a week of special activities to celebrate Cardiac Rehabilitation Week and support cardiac rehabilitation patients. The Adult Fitness locations in Salisbury and Ocean Pines will also take part in the celebration.

Join the Tobacco Ambassador Training Program presented by the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance to learn about the role of a Tobacco Ambassador, the health risks of tobacco use, its impact on Wicomico County youth, and how you can help reduce youth tobacco use — participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

HeartSmart Screenings
TidalHealth is offering free heart health screenings by appointment at multiple locations, including a heart disease risk assessment with fasting lipid profile, EKG, BMI/body fat analysis, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry; participants should not have a known history of heart disease or be under cardiology care, and a 12-hour fast is required.

Healthy Heart Ambassador Program
The Worcester County Health Department offers the Healthy Heart Ambassador Program, providing self-monitoring tools, lifestyle coaching, and nutrition education to help manage and maintain healthy blood pressure.
