TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is pleased to announce that Sheba Tatum, PCT, of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on 2 Layfield, has been selected as its Sunshine Award recipient for February 2026.
Tatum was nominated by a coworker for her compassion, empathy, dedication, and generosity:
“Sheba is a very hardworking tech. No matter how busy she gets, she always seems available for her co-workers.
After a very busy shift and without any hesitation, Sheba volunteered to go to the Emergency Room to sit with 7-month-old twins with RSV so their father could get some rest.
Thanks to her compassion, the father was able to sleep in the chair while Sheba helped with the twins. She is an exceptional team member!"
Tatum was honored in a ceremony before her coworkers and presented with fresh flowers, a pin, and a certificate recognizing her exceptional devotion to team and patient care.
