Beginning June 1, 2026, TidalHealth Peninsula Regional’s Same Day Surgery waiting area will be temporarily closed for renovation. The closure is expected to last through the end of September 2026.
During the construction period, a temporary Same Day Surgery waiting area will be set up in the outpatient waiting area to the left of the Frank B. Hanna Main Entrance lobby.
What patients and visitors can expect
All patients and visitors should check in at the welcome desk located in the Frank B. Hanna Main Entrance lobby. After check-in, individuals will be directed to the temporary waiting area, which will include a desk, chairs and a patient status board.
A volunteer will be stationed at the waiting area desk to:
- Help guide patients and families as needed
- Provide general assistance
- Notify family members when patients are post-operative and ready for visitation
