Undergraduate Medical Education

We offer clinical experiences and educational opportunities designed to support medical students’ growth, confidence, and readiness for residency training. Through hands-on learning, mentorship from experienced clinicians, and exposure to diverse patient care settings, students gain valuable insights that prepare them for future success in their medical careers.

Welcome

Teaching the next generation of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers is an important component of medical education. Preparing students to become excellent and well-developed physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurse anesthetists is at the core of our Undergraduate Medical Education mission.

Although not integrated with the Graduate Medical Education (GME), we do encourage and invite medical students to apply to our residency programs to prepare graduates for their chosen career path.

Overview of Undergraduate Medical Education

TidalHealth includes TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, TidalHealth Nanticoke, and an expansive primary and specialty physician network. All of our providers have a shared mission: To improve the health of the communities we serve.

We pride ourselves in offering close to home and a consistent, quality experience, as well as access to high-level specialties like neurosurgery and clinical research that might not be available to smaller-scale providers.

We really are better together, and our combined forces are working to bring a strong, reliable network of care to our community.  We show our care with a warm blanket, a nutritious meal, and a friendly smile. We are proud to be the region’s healthcare leader, and we’re honored to offer our patients the most experienced, dedicated, and compassionate healthcare in the region.

Who better to care for our community than the people who live here?  At TidalHealth, we’re not just your healthcare providers — we are your neighbors, family, and friends.
