Dr. Alyssa K. Gracely, is a urologist who is fellowship-trained in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). Dr. Gracely specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of urogenital conditions in both women and men, pelvic reconstructive surgery, as well as the management of complications of vaginal and lower urinary tract surgery including mesh removal.
Dr. Gracely earned her bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed her general surgery internship and urology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina before completing a two-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the University of Michigan.
She has published and presented extensively at national and international conferences on topics including stress urinary incontinence, management of vaginal mesh complications, urethral diverticula, neurourology, voiding dysfunction, and the urinary bacterial microbiome. She has authored book chapters on the management of complications after stress urinary incontinence surgery, interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome, pudendal neuromodulation, urethral diverticula, and the treatment of overactive bladder.
