Overview
To continue the mission of serving our communities and being better together, residents in the General Surgery Residency Program will acquire knowledge from experienced and renowned faculty, practice-based research opportunities, cutting edge technology and a state-of-the-art simulation center.
Using the knowledge and experiences gained over the five years of residency, the surgical resident will be able to integrate and apply into the clinical situation, including the ability to operate independently; the development of surgical judgement; and the ability to communicate effectively, to the patient and other caregivers, the plan for and results of care. Upon completion of the program, they will be confident as a leader and a competent board-eligible surgeon to serve our local community and beyond.
