TidalHealth Primary Care and TidalHealth Specialty Care are pleased to announce Nena Horner and Joshua Simmons are their Team Members of the Month for April 2024.
Nena Horner, Physician Onboarding Coordinator, TidalHealth Medical Partners Administration
Horner was nominated by Rachel Bomar for the values of Accountability, Quality and Service:
”Few people know the amazing job that Nena does in helping us plan our team member events. From organizing the Tiki Hut truck to all the office meal deliveries for both TidalHealth Week and Medical Partners Spirit Week, Nena keeps the master list, sends it to our vendors, and spends the whole week for both of those events, helping to keep the Tiki Hut orders moving along.
Nena does all this outside her normal scope of physician onboarding, which is incredibly busy with many new providers! She focuses on helping our offices feel connected and included in our celebrations.
We wouldn’t be able to get nearly as much done in those two weeks as we do without her organization and dedication to connecting the staff across our geographical area. Nena is certainly one of our key players in Administration!”
Joshua Simmons, Practice Manager, TidalHealth Primary Care in Salisbury
Simmons was nominated by Kirsten Bowie, Dr. Jason Coleman, and Dr. Deepa Manimegalan for demonstrating the value of Accountability:
“Joshua has been a strong contributor to the launch of the TidalHealth Pediatrics service line. Throughout the process, he has been reliable, organized, trustworthy, and approachable. He has helped order supplies for the practice and welcomed each provider as they arrived.
Joshua helped establish the practice's Vaccinations for Children (VFC) program so providers could begin vaccinating patients. He called any current patients who were overdue for a wellness visit to inform them of our available services. He also contacted an educational specialist with pediatric experience to assist with preparing the office for offering pediatric care.
Joshua has been a valuable team member throughout the launch of the pediatrics service line and as we encountered hurdles along the way. He always has a smile on his face and a listening ear. His efforts have never gone unnoticed.”
