Meet Our team
Katherine Layton grew up in Salisbury, Md., and graduated from James M. Bennett High School. She graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency, including a year as chief resident at the University of Michigan. After several years as a UM faculty member, she and her family returned to the Eastern Shore. Dr. Layton is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine. She has worked as a pediatric hospitalist at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional since 2003 and enjoys teaching students from various disciplines.
Kim Oliver-Hamilton is TidalHealth’s coordinator of undergraduate medical education and continuing medical education.
She was born and raised in New York, NY. She is a first-generation college graduate with a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Skidmore College. After completing college, she started a tutoring service and later began her career in the medical field in 2021 as registrar and continued to be the team leader of the administrative staff.
Oliver-Hamilton supports medical student rotations at TidalHealth and coordinates continuing medical education approvals for the health system.
